這個空間曾經存在於1970-1974年間。它在醫學界赫赫有名，只要有重症，多會這裡跑…
一天夜裡，女子因為一位長輩突然昏迷，便匆匆來此探病…
那條長長的走廊曾經有詭異之說，當年夜裡的燈光照明不好，路上的醫病人員也少，走著走著….女子意外看見重疊的空域…一些人病容憔悴….一些人軟弱無力⋯⋯奇怪的是：他們身旁都沒有親人陪伴！彷彿這些人生來就是形隻影單的。
就在疑惑的當下，女子聽見一牆之隔的地方傳來救護車的聲響….自遠而近….
只見剛才那些老弱病容者長長地嘆口氣！似乎自行放棄…..原來…裡外重疊。
今日女子再次回到這家醫院，但那過去的森冷已經消失了，取代的是寬敞、稍微明亮的空間。不同的是，這次她是來醫院餐廳打工。
而她的工作是：自助餐的打菜員。客人拿餐盤過來時，指向哪道菜，女子就打哪道菜給他們。
今天的客人很少，大概只有4-5個，菜也很少，少到剛好只夠這幾個人分食。
她問著大廚：為何只有這麼點菜？若再有客人來，不就沒東西可以吃了。
大廚的答話意味深長，「要打烊了！不會有客人了。」便開始收餐盤….
女子想著他的話⋯⋯時空彷彿回到清末的最後一個小皇帝，因為早朝太累，他坐不住，太監就安慰小皇帝道，「快結束了！快結束了！」果然！清朝「結束」了。
而大廚剛才說完這句話後，門口真的如他所說～不再有一個客人！
反倒是女子班上的副班長在浴室喊道，「有誰想幫忙洗浴室，洗完以後，大家再一起洗澎澎、玩水。」
女子隱隱聽見一些打菜員工跑去…女子沒去；而是留下來洗碗….
女子心忖：這麼冷清的生意，老闆會不會倒閉破產？

From the book, Discovery Proverbs, and inspired by the Chinese proverb, “A book may hold a house of gold”, the book, “The Song of Las Flores Canyon” was derived; and then in the process of the creating “The Song of Las Flores Canyon”, the methodology of “Discovery Synchronous Bilingual Writing)(DSBW)” was developed unwittingly and spontaneously.
